BIOGRAPHY

Jose A. Lopez is better known as TUREYCU! -THE S.A.T.I.N. S.K.Y.  Tureycu stands for (Heaven's Light) (in the Taino Native American Indian Language)) S.A.T.I.N. S.K.Y. which stands for (Satisfying Audiences Thoroughly Intelligently Naturally - Strong Kickin Youngsta).  Mr. Lopez is a community leader and socially conscious musician.   As a musician he is Founder and CEO of his own entertainment company Starworks Productions Inc.   As a community activist, he provides services and consultations to many organizations and individuals throughout the world through his grass roots partnership with People Uplifting People In Life Inc. (a non profit Atlanta/Bronx charity organization) which he is vice chairman and program designer.. 

 

Mr. Lopez always had a deep interest in helping his fellow man and with his more than 20 years of Entertainment, & Music Production, community organization, public relations, event coordination including security, sound., music experience, live performances, conflict resolution theater, youth leadership training, he has embarked on a highly viable strategy in which to accomplish his dreams of building an ultimate youth training and entertainment center called Project H.O.M.E./C.A.S.A. along with his entertainment and community partners known as F.A.N. THE FEDERATED ARTS NETWORK.

 

Mr. Lopez has trained with some of the finest teachers and mentors of the entertainment industry throughout the world, and he has worked with some of the top producers and entertainers in New York and the world, ranging from being a talent scout and A&R for Kaleidoscope Records Inc. (a subsidiary Jazz House label of Metropolitan Records Inc. run by Vincent J. Politan and Joey Gold) under executive producer Mark Mendoza, to working with Ray Rosario of Double R Entertainment, Malik Yoba of “New York Undercover”, Isaiah Washington from “Romero Must Die” and Lisa Carson of “Alley Mcbeal”. He has trained with various professors from overseas and in America, training in theater at Tukak Theater in Denmark under Professor Rider Nielsen, vocal & theater training under Ms. Dianne Houston of Howard University, M.I.D.I. equipment and operations at Center for Media Arts in New York, Music Law under Professor Kellis E. Parker of Columbia University, Copyright Law under Professor John Kernichan of Columbia University and Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts,

 

Mr. Lopez have a very long track record of experience in community work ranging from being a spokesperson for the Native American Taino Turabo Aymaco Tribe of Boriken (Puerto Rico) to being a co-founder & employed participant of many non-profit children’s organizations, such as CityKids Foundation/CityKids Repertory Theater, Philanthropists Eugene Lang's Youth Action Progam/”I have a dream project”, Operation Open City/Youth Partnership of NYC, doing community programming & organizing.under Ubaka Hill & Adina Johnson of Operations Open City/Youth Partnership Inc, Laurie Meadoff of City Kids Foundation. He has also worked in prisons and public schools providing educational and cultural information to inmates and students.

He has worked for many fine agencies in the field of public relations such as Ketchum Public Relations.

Mr. Lopez writes and produces his own compositions with the help of a close friend and producer Mr. Roderick Kohn of R.O.K. STUDIOS in Manhattan, and has produced various styles of compositions for various styles of upcoming artists as well as music themes and programs for community organizations as indicated in his resume and runs his own production company called Starworks Productions Inc. and it’s subsidiaries: Satin Sky Productions, Tribal Imaginations, Brave Media Entertainment, which does everything to producing for up and coming artists to producing community street fairs, cultural and educational workshops, concerts etc..

 

Mr. Lopez has also established a national network of twenty professional production companies, record labels, modeling agencies, etc. that spans ten states and two foreign countries including Sweden and England known as The Federated Arts Network F.A.N.

 

Mr. Lopez has participated and has completed very impressive programs that consist of:

An album entitled "No Sleep Til the Funk & the Rainbow", consisting of fifteen original compositions and three remixes released on the Starworks Records Label.

 

Mr. Lopez is also co-founding member of the group called G.U.A.M.O.  A Native American Theater Group.

 

 

Mr. Lopez has participated in various concerts and events which he has either performed in or produced, and has completed a music video of his original reggae/rock tune entitled "Poom Poom Shortz", which is included in the audio demo package.  A periodical critic's review of a 1995 promotional compilation release single of one of his compositions entitled "Living in Da Boogie Down", released on BLACK WAXX RECORDS under his stage name "J.
