Starworks  as an entertainment company believes that the entertainment industry as a whole has a great influence on the way the entire world thinks, dresses, behaves and even has bearing on the public's choices in food, relationships and social policy.  Since this has proven to be a fact on many levels, Starworks believes it has a great responsibility therefore to make sure that everything we do has a positive and uplifting impact on those who buy from the industry more than anyone else in the world and this means especially young people.

Starworks mission is to "give back" to the youth and the community through on going events and projects to aide in the empowerment of the youth.

"Starworks believes that young people will be less likely to get into the troubles that the streets entices them with, if they are given greater choices of what to do with their lives" "Therefore, Starworks is creating an atmosphere of a safe haven for young people and young adults, that speaks their language and adheres to the total needs of a growing mind, but will not neglect to expose young people to the realistic perspectives of chance and risks involved in the different types of situations". 

"Young people often dream of becoming big stars or reaching an ultimate peak of success like that of their role models in the field of entertainment, but of course many do not fulfill that dream, because there are many out there who although have the talent and the drive to become successful in the performing arts field, face many obstacles that prevent them from fulfilling their dream.  Some get caught in the crime, and drugs, that is sometimes associated with the business or they don't get that push in the right direction.  Others have financial problems that hold them back.  Other get exploited by deceptive promises.  Because of this, many just run out of steam and just give up.  Although there are many success stories, and people who have struggled and overcome these obstacles, almost all of the stories contain horror story chapters of how in the past and in the present of experiences where the artists were or almost taken advantage of.  If they only they had the "know-how", or someone who knew how to guide them through the wilderness, they may not have been victimized as many have been before them." "There is a lot of young talent out there today.  Some will become very famous, some will be content with being an ordinary professional.  But all of them have one thing in common, they all need that push, that edge, that guiding light, something, or they may end up with nothing." 

     We believe that Starworks is that light.  Guiding the vulnerable through the sometimes exploitive institutions, helping young people to avoid the traps and loopholes, and keeping them on track.  With your help, we'll be making young artist's dreams a reality, by teaching them how.

     What is Starworks?  Starworks Productions, is an organization of young people and adults who's goal is to provide young people with a chance to make it in the entertainment world as well as everyday life.  Our goal is to provide young people who normally do not have the financial budget to pay for the necessary fees and studio time, with a complete center of professionals, equipment and space dedicated to giving youth a fighting chance.  Our goal is to expose them to positive media attention.  Our goal is to give them the entertainment experience they will need by placing them in talent shows, showcases and the professional arena.  Also to help them find lawyers, agents, managers or whatever else they may need, to get them on their way.  We will help them prepare their demo tapes and promote them to record companies.  We will provide rehearsal studios for performers.  We will even coach them to improve stage presence, voice projections, etc., Starworks will provide songwriters,  producers, performers, promoters etc.

     Talented young people aren't the only ones who will gain from Starworks.  Starworks, plans to have other youth programs which will spread positive messages to the youth of New York City and hopefully the rest of the world.  Messages dealing with drug prevention, education, community improvement, careers, and many other issues contemplated the youth of today.  Starworks plans to create an atmosphere of a safe haven for young people, but will not neglect to expose young people to the realistic perspectives of chance and risks involved in the different types of careers in the music business.,  Contributors, sponsors and volunteers and supporters will get the sense of pride and dignity of being a member of such a movement. 

STARWORKS GOALS

     We at Starworks, have several goals we want to achieve.  Here are our main goals:

SPREADING POSITIVE MESSAGES:

Spread positive messages to young people and adults.  We will  have showcases and programs dealing with issues that affect our youth today.  Like drugs, teen pregnancies, education, careers, etc.  Through music we can promote positive messages to youth and make a difference.

TALENT SHOWS:

  We will have at least 6 periodical talent shows a year.

BETTER THE COMMUNITIES:

We have an interest in improving the communities of New York City.  We don't want to reach just minority neighborhoods but all areas because we want to improve race relations in New York City. 

PROVIDING YOUNG ARTIST WITH OPPORTUNITIES:

It is one of our main objectives to help a young talent to make it in "showbiz".  We feel with our help, they have a greater chance to make it.  Whether a dancer, singer, or a composer, instrumentalist, or what have you, we can give them that edge, that push in the right direction.

FAME AND PRESTIGE FOR ME AND YOU AT STARWORKS:. 

In the future, Starworks will receive the exposure needed to have our message spread out by then we hope to have the respect that a good community service should have.  We don't want to be known only as a chance for success for young artists, but a reason for youth to change direction from no hope to a promising future.

SET A NEW EXAMPLE FOR OTHER COMMUNITY MOVEMENTS:. 

One belief of Starworks, the best way one person can benefit is through education.  but, the best way to get someone to be willing to learn is to make them believe it is worthwhile to learn through motivation.  It is motivation that is the best tool for achieving, because with it, the impossible can be done.  Starworks would love to provide that motivation, especially since it does not take that much effort to do so.  So we hope, that other youth movements like us will concentrate on motivating young people.  Because, with all that motivation, we together can make that difference for a better future.

TOURING

     Starworks mission is not only to produce talent, but to utilize that talent to send a positive message out the youth of today.  We will have shows with themes like drug prevention, education, and racism among many other topics.  We hope to be able to tour schools and spread message where kids are supposed to learn but we want our performers to set a positive example, so many others can follow them to a path of success.

FUND RAISERS

     Starworks plans to be a self-run foundation and self-supported in the near future.  We plan to have benefits consisting of fresh young talent who are now trying to make it in the entertainment world.  All proceeds will go to Starworks Productions, for many necessities such as (tickets, dance hall, security, sound system, etc.) so that we may continue running these types of events.

       We will be inviting celebrities and political figures at these type of benefits to help bring more attention to the cause,  as well as calling on major contributions by corporations, organizations, politicians, and the media.

       Starworks will have the ability to make dreams a reality,  to give young people something to strive for.  Give them a sense or worth, to make them shine out of the darkness.  We believe in providing a positive image of youth to the media.  So then, other youth will then follow their example.  What we want to do is to give young talent a chance.  A chance they otherwise would not ordinarily have to succeed.

     To us, it doesn't matter if the kid becomes a megastar or a backup singer, or a stagehand, or maybe just another dancer in a music video.  It also doesn't matter if he/she is a music major or is a scholarship recipient, as long as he/she become a success in life.  Besides, even if they don't hit the "top", at least they won't hit the bottom.

     Starworks, although its primary focus is in entertainment, it is also its purpose and not the least of them, to bring out the star that is in every young person to succeed in whatever they strive for.

......Paint a picture in your mind of a center, that is filled with state of the art equipment, and a professional and caring staff especially designed to nurturing a young              person's imagination.  

......Paint a picture in your mind of a center, that captures the excitement of young people's cultures.  The colors, The sounds, The music, The language.

 ......Paint a picture in your mind of a center, where young people and young adults from all over the world, could learn from one another about subjects and issues that              interest them the most.

......Paint a picture in your mind of a center, where young people can come away with not just an experience that will last them a lifetime, but marketable skills and a finished portfolio, that they will use well into there adult years.

 "Starworks (with your help) will build a mini college/Lincoln Center, type center etc.. (paint a picture in your mind if you would) that would not be your average hum-drum academic traditional learning institution, but an interactive and fun place to learn, and a fun place to be. This place is called H.O.M.E. (The House of Mental Edification) or as it is affectionately called "Boogie Boulevard"
